The Department of Provincial Foreign Affairs - Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a conference on leadership of provincial departments of foreign affairs, and Reviewing, training on inspection work in diplomatic field in 2021 on 15th and 16th April 2021 in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province.
As a part of the conference program, a seminar on the management of Vietnamese employees working for foreign organizations and individuals in Viet Nam was co-chaired by Mr. Hoang Thuy Duong - Director of the Service Department for Diplomatic Corps - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SDDC) and Mr. Tran Hieu - Director of the Service Center for Da Nang Foreign Affairs (SCEDFA), attracting about 260 delegates who were leaders, representatives and officers from the Department of Provincial Foreign Affairs, SDDC, Ministry Inspectorate – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the External Security Divisions of provincial Public Security Departments and the provincial Departments of Foreign Affairs from all over the country.

The seminar listened to a report on the implementation of Decree No. 75/2014/NĐ-CP of the Government dated 28th July 2014 detailing related articles of the Labor Code on recruiting and managing Vietnamese employees working for foreign organizations and individuals in Viet Nam in the last five years, which included the overview, the achieved results, the difficulties, some suggested solutions and the direction of implementing them; and a report on summarizing the new regulations stated in Decree No. 152/2020/NĐ-CP of the Government dated 30th December 2020 regulating the management of foreign workers in Viet Nam and the recruitment and management of Vietnamese employees working for foreign organizations and individuals in Viet Nam which came into effect on 15th February 2021, replacing Decree No. 75/2014/NĐ-CP of the Government. The participants raised various opinions and comments to better implement the management of Vietnamese employees working for foreign organizations and individuals in the local areas in the coming time.

Delivering his speech Mr. Tran Hieu, Director of SCEDFA, presented SCEDFA’s outstanding results in managing Vietnamese employees working for foreign organizations and individuals and expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs, the provincial Public Security Departments, and especially the provincial Department of Foreign Affairs for its lasting support and assistance. He also believed that the three organizations authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to recruit and manage Vietnamese employees working for foreign individuals and organizations in Viet Nam, including SDDC, FOSCO and SCEDFA, would continue to receive the support and companionship of related departments and agencies to successfully complete the authorized tasks./.
