  • Seminar on Studying at Keimyung University, South Korea Held in Da Nang City in 2019

In the framework of cooperation in many fields between Da Nang City and Daegu City, South Korea, with the permission of the Da Nang People’s Committee, the Service Center for Da Nang Foreign Affairs (SCEDFA) in collaboration with Keimyung University held a seminar on studying at Keimyung University in Da Nang City. The seminar was held 2 sections on the morning of 26th  October 2019 and 27th  October 2019 at Magnolia Hotel, Da Nang City. The seminar attracted more than 200 students from Senior High Schools in the city such as Le Quy Don, Phan Chau Trinh, Tran Phu, Hoang Hoa Tham, Hoa Vang, Cam Le; students from the Da Nang University of Foreign Language Studies and Duy Tan University; leaders and students of Korean Language Training Centers in Da Nang such as ICLS, Broadway, Hanbee Viet, and parents.

At the seminar, representatives of Keimyung introduced an overview of the school, training programs, scholarship programs and policies to support Vietnamese students and directly advised units and students who are interested in studying in South Korea. In response to the desire of some students and parents on organizing  tour to Keimyung University campus to consider studying conditions at the school, SCEDFA will cooperate with the University to organize survey tours for parents and students who are interested in the coming time.

With the success of the seminar, Ms. Kim Seon Jung, Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation, Keimyung University highly appreciated the support of SCEDFA in organizing the seminar and hoped that SCEDFA would continue to support the University in promotion and enrollment work.

Overview of the seminar

            Keimyung University is one of the top ten most beautiful universities in South Korea, which is the film studio of some famous films, top 1% of universities prefer Korean straight visas. Keimyung currently has 15 affiliated universities with 95 faculties and majors. In particular, Keimyung currently has a policy of prioritizing 50% reduction of the first semester tuition for Vietnamese students and attractive scholarships for the next semesters depending on the student's academic results.
